Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19th, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to a family of 12 poor kids who would grow with them eventually. She learned early on how to conquer of the difficulties she faced by using her rich and vivid imagination. She was writing songs before she learned to write or read. The guitar that she first received was presented by her mother when she was eight. The singer began her singing career at an Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. At the age of 16, she established herself in the local community, however her ambition was bigger. On the 14th of March, 1964, following her graduation from high-school the singer moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner began looking for women to sing for his TV show syndicated by a network at approximately the same at the same time. Parton took the offer and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. However, it wasn't until 1974 that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's program as the popularity of her individual records including Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene had outstripped their collaborative efforts. Following their breakup, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached Number. The first time in 1974.
