Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American writer, syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England together with her family around 16 years old. At Cambridge University she earned a MA degree in Economics. First foreign-born graduate to be elected president of the highly regarded debate group The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took on the role. She was a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a year later, she developed an online platform for voice which offered critiques of political scenarios. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna became famous in 2003 after she decided to stand independently during the California recall election in order to succeed then Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as the most influential female media personality, taking the 12th place on the list. The same year Guardian included her in the top 100 of media lists. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL properties at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos, a Journalism and management expert. Although she had a close connection to both her father and mother but it was their connection which shaped her. At an early age, she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. In the year she turned 16years old, she emigrated from America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the colleges debating societies, where she eventually became its first foreign female president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned a Master's Degree in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic and as a host on television. Additionally, she starred together with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
