Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for over ten years. She is also the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England with her family at age 16. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. She was the first student non-UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Her success as a conservative journalist was further consolidated when she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few year later, she established an online voice portal that offered critiques of the political situation. The celebrity she enjoyed allowed her to persuade a number of celebrities to contribute their opinion regarding current affairs, the political and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 after she decided to contest independently in the California recall election to replace then Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna led an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient cars. Her name was voted as the most Influential Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th place in the list. That same year Guardian listed her among the Top 100 Media List. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her president of the media group and also included several the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli, who are both journalists and consultants in management. The way she lived her life was determined by the closeness she had to her mother and her bond with her dad, even though she was very close to the latter. In her early years she showed the qualities of a leader for which she's still known. When she was 16 she relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the first woman to hold the position of president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was conferred. After after graduation she worked as a journalist and TV host. In addition, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his editing assistance.
