April Ross is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball stars who have managed to win medals in many Olympics. The effort was recognized with her being named the 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Players of the Year. She also won her an Orange County Athlete of the Awards in 2000. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play in the year 2017. The reality is that Ross was an already a well-established player in the beach volleyball scene before they formed the team. The American has been a major winner in events twice, with various partners. One of them has become an icon in the world of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013 she was in a partnership with Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Together, Kessy Ross was an active participant in the international scene, winning one of the biggest titles in the world in 2009. In 2012, the pair were awarded silver medals at the London Olympics. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor were the winners, ahead of them. Ross is Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. In her own way Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award went to the highest female collegiate player in the country. Ross was an major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter reach the top of the beach volleyball world. Ross suffered the loss of the breast cancer that she battled in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. Ross holds her mother close to her heart. Margie continues to be an inspiration on the beach and all throughout her life.
