April Ross

April Ross is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball stars who have managed to win medals in many Olympics. Alix Kallineman will play alongside April Ross Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal during the coming days. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic Gold. As she is 39, this might be her last opportunity to achieve it. However, she remains optimistic that the top honours will be within reach. If we perform at our very best or even play very well, I think we can get that gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. Also, I'll take the chance to have luck. Ross Born in 1982, and grew up within Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began taking part in athletics at Newport Harbor High School. She went on to compete in a myriad of activities at Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran tracks in addition to her indoor volleyball exploits as a prep athlete. But she clearly was a superior player when it came to the second sport. Based on her bio, she was a middle blocker and an outside hitter on the volleyball court during her senior year of high school. The effort was recognized with her being named the 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Players of the Year. She also won her an Orange County Athlete of the Awards in 2000. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play in the year 2017. The reality is that Ross was an already a well-established player in the beach volleyball scene before they formed the team. The American has been a major winner in events twice, with various partners. One of them has become an icon in the world of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013 she was in a partnership with Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Together, Kessy Ross was an active participant in the international scene, winning one of the biggest titles in the world in 2009. In 2012, the pair were awarded silver medals at the London Olympics. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor were the winners, ahead of them. Ross is Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. They went on to take home the bronze medal for beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross played for the Trojans at USC during her the college years following her graduation from in high school. Her experience at USC was impressive. As a freshman in 2000 she earned Pac-10 and NCAA freshman of the year recognition and was an All-American. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. She was devastated by a personal loss during her sophomore year and yet she came back her place as an All-American. For her two final years, she took the Trojans to the top of the hill and took home consecutive national championships. In her own way Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award went to the highest female collegiate player in the country. Ross was an major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter reach the top of the beach volleyball world. Ross suffered the loss of the breast cancer that she battled in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. Ross holds her mother close to her heart. Margie continues to be an inspiration on the beach and all throughout her life.
